Canucks add defenseman Iwan Davies for remainder of season

The Cardiff Canucks are pleased to announce the signing of defenseman Iwan Davies for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.

Davies brings a lifetime of Cardiff hockey experience to the Canucks roster. The Cardiff native came through the ranks with the Cardiff Junior Devils before playing many years of senior hockey across both NIHL1 and NIHL2 leagues in the capital.

The signing comes at a crucial time for the Canucks, who have been dealing with injuries on the blue line. Coach Hendrikx was pleased to secure Davies' services ahead of the transfer deadline.

"Iwan came to me looking for a change a few weeks ago. With JJ's injury, we really needed to add another D before the transfer deadline," said Hendrikx. "To be able to add someone of his calibre at this point in the season is a no brainer. He has a big shot and we're excited to add him to our group."

Welcome to the Canucks, Iwan!
