Coaching Staff Strengthened as Core Players Return

Raffaelli and Jefferies join bench as key quartet re-sign

The Cardiff Canucks have announced their coaching setup for the 2026-27 season alongside the return of four players who form the heart of the team's culture.

Coaching Staff

Giovanni Raffaelli returns as assistant coach and will be joined on the bench by Jordan Jefferies in a new coaching role. Jefferies, who wore #8 for the Canucks, transitions from player to coach to help develop the team through the season.

"Having Gio and JJ on the bench this season will be a tremendous asset for the players," said Coach Hendrikx. "Their experience and leadership are invaluable to the team, and I personally appreciate having their support and additional perspective behind the bench. Both are highly vocal, well-liked, and deeply respected in the dressing room. We're very pleased to have them back with the team this season."

Core Players Return

The foundation of the Canucks roster remains intact with the return of four key players who embody the club's culture and commitment.

Sam Bryant, Joe Morris, Viktor Karlåker Langseth and Zak Shanahan all re-signed for the 2026-27 season, providing the stability and loyalty that is integral to the team.

"I can't speak highly enough of these guys," said Hendrikx. "They're at the heart of our team, and we wouldn't be where we are without them. The standards and culture we've built are a direct reflection of their commitment. The passion and intensity they bring every day is infectious, giving us a strong foundation to keep building on. I know the fans will be just as excited to have them back as we are!"

With red, white and green in their blood, this crew provide the stability and loyalty that has been integral to building the Cardiff Canucks into a competitive force in NIHL2 South.

The combination of strengthened coaching depth and the return of these core players ensures continuity and leadership as the Canucks prepare for the 2026-27 campaign.
